Keeping the best of Merino

Naturetexx Plasma treatment technology creates superior garments that protect the nature and meet the demands of the market to develop garments that reduce the distance between nature and consumers while providing the following benefits.

Take a look at our creation process to understand how our team uses Naturetexx Plasma to strengthen the performance of anti-shrinkage for flat knit Merino wool garments.

What, why, how.

Naturetexx Plasma is a pioneering anti-shrinkage wool treatment technology. Over the course of 10 years it was developed as an environmentally sustainable alternative to chlorine treatment. It complies with the Global Organic Textile Standard, Naturtextil IVN Best standard for organic wool use, and bluesign® system for sustainable textile production.

Naturetexx Plasma technology was developed as a response to the market demands for environment friendly Merino wool treatment.

To prevent felting, the wool must be treated at an early stage of the production process. During this process the scales of the fibre surface are being damaged to create a smoother surface. This normally is achieved with the use of aggressive chemicals such as chlorine and a lot of water. The Naturetexx Plasma treatment is relying on neither of those resources to achieve that effect.

Instead of chemicals Naturetexx Plasma is using an electric discharge between two electrodes to create a field of energy. This energy field reacts with the surface of the wool fibre, functionalising it in the process. All of the energy used comes from renewable sources, thus significantly improving the environmental impact of the Treatment.

  • Environmentally friendly for simple care wool
  • 100 % green energy from renewable sources
  • No chlorine
  • IVN, GOTS and Bluesign® certified
  • creates a powerful hydrophilic surface
  • All dying methods are possible

The overall functional enhancement of Merino wool garments treated with Naturetexx Plasma elongates their life cycle and thereby improves the environmental impact of every product containing them.

Collaboration

Feel the purity of life

Natural texture combined with earthy colors of undyed yarn, representing the link between nature and life. Textiles and garments in their most natural appearance inspired by the mottled sand dunes and the intricate structure of tree bark. Together with the ZHIWU design company we conveyed the concept of environmental protection as well as the purity of life.

Mood

During this collaboration we decided to focus on garments that reduce the distance between nature and the consumer and in term achieving a state of harmony between clothing, people and the environment.

Inspiration

Inspired by the natural wash of the land the garments recieved a distinctive bumpy texture, combining the styles of subtlety and ruggedness, to present an accumulating sense of time.

The Naturetexx Plasma treatment reveals a rich pattern, giving the garment a more detailed feel, while consolidating our respect towards nature. In addition, the whole garment has not been dyed in any way, showing off its pure natural character.

Function

Because of its anti-shrinkage function, Genziana Nm 30/2 can be widely used in home and daily wear, allowing consumers to obtain higher quality wool garments.

The Merino Poncho retains the warmth and is more comfortable to wear, which enables the yarn to be used in both fashion and sports & outdoor clothing.
